A calmer way forward

A calm, understanding approach to dog training

Living with a nervous or reactive dog can be exhausting. You may avoid certain places, worry about visitors, feel judged by others, or simply feel unsure how to help your dog without making things worse.

I offer gentle, one-to-one dog training for nervous, fearful and sensitive dogs. By working at a pace your dog feels comfortable with, I can help you understand what is behind their behaviour, spot the signs of stress earlier, and build practical routines that make daily life calmer and more manageable for you both.

HOW I CAN HELP?

Dog training for anxiety, fear and reactive behaviour

If your dog is anxious, you may find that they bark, hide, freeze, pull away, lunge, shake, pace or become overwhelmed by walks, visitors, other dogs or new places.

My aim when meeting a new dog is always to understand the root cause of their distress, so I can help them learn new responses, build confidence and feel relaxed again.

HOW It works

How one-to-one dog training and behaviour support works

Sessions can begin in your own home or on quiet local walks, allowing us to work where your dog feels most comfortable and where the behaviour actually occurs.

1

Initial Assessment & Consultation

We begin with a consultation – usually at your home where your dog is most comfortable. We look at what he or she finds difficult, what helps them feel settled and what realistic progress should look like.
2

A Practical, Tailored Plan

We put immediate strategies into place, using reward-based methods designed to build trust and calmer choices, and letting your dog develop at their own pace.
3

Flexible Follow-Up Support

I'll send you follow-up email support, so you have what you need to continue your dog's development. You can always book additional sessions as needed.
